PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT FOR ADHD
I provide is psychological assessment of children and adolescents for Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). The assessment process requires several steps and involves gathering clinical interview and psychological test information from multiple sources including parents, the child or teen, teachers, and other caregivers or family members who know your son or daughter well.
In most cases, the assessment process can be completed in two appointments scheduled seven to 10 days apart to allow time to obtain information about your child from his or her teacher. At the conclusion of the assessment process, I provide you with a summary report and treatment plan that addresses your child or teen’s needs. If I recommend that your child undergo a medical evaluation by a pediatrician or child psychiatrist for a medication trial, I work collaboratively with the other doctor to ensure that your child receives quality care.
